I´ve walked in the
medieval parks of Rhodes
I´ve swung in their
swings
and welcomed the winds
that saved me
from the sun
of June
I saw the greek girls
sliding down
with their sky blue dress
speak an ancient language
with the joy of childhood
screaming at their friends
Hellas,
Hellas,
with their sunshine smiles
in the shadow
of the summer pines
I saw them dart away
among the flowers
as new kids
from a cruise ship
found the swings
and took their place
