So, I´m back in Montevideo after my Miami-NY-Los Angeles adventure, taking the Uruguayan winter very hard, though getting used to it after spending two half winters here (following 4 gloriously winterless years).
Raúl, on the other hand, is much luckier than me, as he got to return to the summer a few weeks later after touring NY city with the movie. He has just competed in the decathlon yet again, and this time, he won the gold medal!
This means that RAÚL is the most accomplished senior athlete on the face of the Earth, as he competed in the 75-94 year old category, beating athletes from Japan, the US, and what not.
When he was not winning gold medals, our champion was signing autographs after the movie´s premiere.
Here is a photo gallery of Raúl´s California days, which are not over, as he is competing in the pole vault on July 15th, where he might get yet another gold medal for Uruguay.
After all this, as a personal friend of Raúl and his family, and as the very grateful director of this movie that is so close to my heart, all I can say is GO RAÚL!!!!
